The electric air conditioning and thermal management system of new energy electric vehicles is the auxiliary subsystem with the largest energy consumption, accounting for 20%~30% of the energy consumption of the whole vehicle, which seriously affects the endurance of new energy electric vehicles. In 2008, some domestic enterprises had entrusted foreign development, due to the large investment in early development, parts and components were controlled by foreign parties, and the system cost was high, resulting in problems with new energy electric vehicles.
In 2016, Fuzhou Dannuo Xicheng cooperated with Shanghai Ground Transportation Wind Tunnel Center of Tongji University to complete the international cooperation project of the Ministry of Science and Technology "Key Technology Development of Integrated Thermal Management and Control System for New Energy Electric Vehicles", and formed a comprehensive thermal management system for direct heat pump air thermal PTC.
In 2017, the project results began to be industrialized. By 2023, the annual output of PTC heating module series products has reached 2 million sets, and the annual output of thermal management series products of commercial vehicle power batteries and energy storage systems has reached 50,000 units.
